Some things are just too good to pass. They’re opportunities that no one wants to let pass, because they only come once. Well, I might have had that last week. He had long since lost sight of his lieutenant, or even his commissioned officer for that matter. He now only relied on his AI Isabelle to stay up to date on the constant flow of orders coming in from his superiors. When he saw the winged monster take a deep breath, he didn’t even need to wait for the order to duck; his instincts had commandeered him to throw himself to the floor in a second.
